Christina Ricci has been signed up to star in Penelope. The movie is being produced by Reese Witherspoon (who is alos taking a supporting role) via her production co. Type A Films, who are developing with Stone Village Pictures. The movie is being directed by Mark Palansky and written by Leslie Caveny and will follow a woman under a curse who tries to end a lifelong string of bad luck.
